Seth Hmielowski

Senior Principal

AIA, NCARB, ASID, LEED AP

Seth joined Caudill Gustafson & Associates in 1997 and helped rebrand the firm into Z Group Architects in 2005. He became a Principal in 2007 and Senior Principal in 2021.

 

Seth received a Bachelor of Science focusing in Architectural Engineering Technology at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. With over 30 years of professional experience in the architecture and design industry, Seth has worked as a Draftsman, Production Manager, Project Manager, and Project Architect. Today, he owns and operates Z Group Architects as an Architect, Project Manager, and Senior Principal. With his many years of experience in designing numerous projects in the Western Colorado region, Seth has developed a sensitivity for regional aesthetics and the environment. Seth is known for his inspirational designs, often including generous windows showcasing expansive views and welcoming elements of the natural environment into the home. When someone says something can’t be done, Seth says, “Why not?” and finds a way.

 

With a thirst for adventure, Seth, his wife Ashley, and dog Goose enjoy spending time outdoors. Seth regularly mountain bikes, hikes, snowboards, skis, rides motorcycles, and plays hockey. He connects with his community through involvement in numerous organizations, and with multiple black belts, he also teaches martial arts.
