What does architecture have to do with a summer concert? More than you might think.

Z Group Architecture & Interior Design was proud to be a headline sponsor of the June 18 concert at Basalt River Park, the opening night of the 2025 Basalt Summer Concert Series.

But this was more than music. It’s about community, creativity, and a shared commitment to place. It was also about supporting the Basalt Education Foundation, a vital organization dedicated to shaping the future of local students and, by extension, our entire community.
A Community Event with Heart

Set along the banks of the Roaring Fork River, this free Wednesday night concert series transformed the town into a rhythm-filled gathering space. On June 18, the park will echoed with live music, laughter, and the sound of neighbors reconnecting.
The evening lineup:
5:30 p.m. – Taylor Shae
6:30 p.m. – break
7:00 p.m. – Ipecac
For over 70 years, Z Group had been designing buildings, but more importantly, we’ve helped shape the spaces between them — parks, plazas, town centers, and homes where life unfolds. Supporting events like this concert is an extended of that mission: creating experiences that bring people together.

Supporting Education, Shaping the Future

All beverage proceeds benefited the Basalt Education Foundation, which enhances public education through classroom innovation, enrichment programs, and teacher support.
“Design is about more than structures. It’s about community, connection, and the spaces where people gather and celebrate life together.” — Scott McHale, Principal & Director of Design
At Z Group, we saw clear parallels between thoughtful architecture and excellent education: both were built on vision, collaboration, and long-term impact. Supporting organizations like the Basalt Education Foundation was just one way we invest in the people and place that inspire our work.

Why We Sponsored
Our commitment to the community doesn’t stop at the drawing board.
Whether it’s designing town centers, like Basalt Center Circle, revitalizing parks and bus stops, like the Basalt River Park Bus Stop, or supporting the next generation of learners, Z Group remains proud to give back through design, advocacy, and sponsorship.
“Supporting events like this aligns with everything we value: community, creativity, and creating spaces where people can gather and thrive.” — Seth Hmielowski, Senior Principal.
Events like these represent the heart of what we do, designing for life, not just structures. When we contribute to the public realm, we’re investing in moments that matter.

This post nicely highlights the importance of community involvement through the arts. It’s great to see organizations actively supporting local events that bring people together. I recently came across a community-focused write-up on https://www.masterstorage365.com/, and it reinforced how thoughtful planning and collaboration can make events like this more impactful.
