About
Introducing the Basalt Center Circle & The Midland Residences, a stunning architectural project that combines modern design with a nod to Basalt's historic past. Featuring a mixed-use space spanning 53,000 square feet and three stories, this development incorporates modular construction and offers a variety of residential units, including studio, one, two, and three-bedroom options. What sets this mixed-use project apart is its commitment to affordable housing, with 25% of the residential units being dedicated to this cause.
In addition to the residential component, this project also includes a grocery store, euro café, and other commercial spaces. Renovating a previously unoccupied commercial building, the proposed new 3-story structure will include a food hall, grocery, and liquor store hybrid on the street level, with long-term rental apartments on the upper two levels. The architectural design also integrates the outdoors, with a focus on pedestrian circulation and creating a cohesive space for the community.
Our team worked closely with property owners to optimize parking spaces and added new amenities such as green spaces, bike storage, and e-bike and electric vehicle charging stations. The design of Basalt Center Circle and The Midland Residences pays homage to the town's history, with a thoughtful incorporation of the railway wye that once occupied the site. This project is set to not only enhance Basalt's architectural landscape but also create a vibrant and inclusive community space for friends and neighbors to gather.
