Z Group Architecture & Interior Design in partnership with Rudd Construction are proud to sponsor Jude Barton: Alignment and Form, a solo exhibition at The Art Base in Basalt, Colorado, from June 27 to July 25, 2025, at The Art Base, located just steps from our office on Midland Avenue in downtown Basalt.

The opening reception brought together art enthusiasts, clients, and community members from across the Roaring Fork Valley. The event featured a lively crowd, meaningful conversation, and a powerful artist talk in which Barton shared insights into her process and the inspiration behind her work. Z Group’s leadership team was honored to attend and support a creative voice that echoes many shared values: emotional resonance, clarity of form, and a deep connection to place.

The sponsorship opportunity aligned perfectly with Z Group’s commitment to supporting the local creative economy and elevating the voices of artists who challenge, move, and inspire. In addition to Z Group’s support, we were thrilled to collaborate with Rudd Construction as co-sponsors of the exhibition—an enduring reminder that architecture, construction, and art are all part of the same cultural ecosystem.

As a gesture of appreciation, Jude Barton graciously gifted both Z Group and Rudd Construction with editioned prints from her exhibition—a beautiful and unexpected surprise. We are deeply honored by her generosity and look forward to hanging these works in our Basalt office, where they will serve as a lasting reminder of this special collaboration and the spirit of creative partnership that defines our region. Our team is both grateful and excited to add Barton's work to our daily environment.

Thank You

Our sincerest thanks to Jude Barton for sharing her powerful work and for entrusting us with a piece of her artistic journey. And to The Art Base and Rudd Construction, thank you for being our partners in fostering creativity, community, and culture in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Where Art and Architecture Align

A worktable covered in geometric paper cutouts, rulers, precision knives, and washers, showing the process and tools used in the creation of abstract artwork.

Jude Barton’s minimalist, geometry-driven artworks use line, shape, and space to evoke quiet clarity and visual harmony. Influenced by the Constructivist and Concrete Art movements, alongside minimalist line drawings and sketches, her pieces often draw from sacred geometry and the natural world, creating a dialogue that mirrors the spatial thinking and intentional design Z Group brings to every project.

Her compositions reflect a pursuit of clarity and order through abstraction. This exhibition offers a contemplative exploration of form, balance, and symbolism that resonates deeply with our values as designers and community members. Her work serves as a reminder that the spaces we build and the art we support both have the power to shift perspectives, inspire connections, and ground us in place.
