Community, Connection & a Little Friendly Competition: Z Group Gives Back on the Golf Course
At Z Group Architecture & Interior Design, connection has always been part of the work.
For more than 70 years, our roots in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley have shaped not only the architecture and interior design we create, but the relationships we build. Our philosophy centers on collaboration, stewardship, and creating a lasting legacy in the places we call home.
This September, that meant getting out of the office, grabbing the golf clubs, and spending two days in Colorado supporting organizations making a difference across the valley.
Supporting Community at Aspen One Charity Golf
On September 24, Z Group joined the Aspen One Charity Golf Tournament at Ironbridge Golf Club in Glenwood Springs.
The tournament supports Aspen One’s Caring for Community and Environmental funds, benefiting nonprofit organizations throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.
Representing Z Group on the course were Seth Hmielowski and Scott McHale, joined by Aaron Shaffer and Buck Erickson.
For Z Group, supporting an event centered on community and environmental stewardship is a natural extension of how we approach architecture. Since our beginnings in Aspen in 1952, respect for the landscape and the people who inhabit it has remained fundamental to our practice.
And while there was certainly some friendly competition, the best part of the day was simpler: spending time with the people and organizations that make this valley such a remarkable place to live and work.
Leadership at the Links
The clubs weren't away for long.
On September 25, Z Group headed to Lakota Links in New Castle for Roaring Fork Leadership's Leadership at the Links tournament.
This time, Kevin Heath, Max Hemmy, Ian Foster, and Evan Weller represented Z Group on the course, while the firm also supported the event as a Beverage Cart Sponsor.
The event supports leadership scholarships, expanded access to Roaring Fork Leadership programs, and programming serving communities throughout the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys.
That mission resonates with us. Architecture and interior desigdependds on listening, collaboration, and bringing different perspectives together—the same qualities that help strong communities thrive.
