At Z Group Architecture & Interior Design, mentorship and collaboration are central to how we practice architecture. Recently, Architectural Designers Evan Weller and Gavin Rea represented the firm at the University of Colorado Denver College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) Career Fair, where they connected with students exploring careers in architecture and design.

Events like this give our team the opportunity to engage directly with emerging designers, share insights into professional practice, and introduce students to the collaborative culture that defines Z Group.

Sharing the Z Group Culture

Throughout the event, Evan and Gavin spoke with students about building an architecture career in Colorado, working within a collaborative design environment, and contributing to projects rooted in landscape and community.

For both team members, the experience was also an opportunity to reflect on their own transition from architecture school into professional practice.

“Career fairs like this are a great way to connect with students who are passionate about design and curious about where architecture can take them,” said Evan Weller. “At Z Group, mentorship and collaboration are part of our everyday culture, so it’s exciting to share that with students who are just beginning their careers.”

Events like this also play an important role in supporting the next generation of designers as they begin entering the profession.

With more than 70 years of architectural practice rooted in Aspen, Roaring Fork Valley, and the Mountain West, Z Group continues to invest in the profession's future by supporting students, mentoring young designers, and fostering meaningful connections with architecture schools across Colorado.
