Tasting the Best of Basalt—For a Great Cause

Z Group team members Katie, Seth, and Brittany at the 2025 Taste of Basalt event supporting the Basalt Education Foundation.

This November, our team—Katie, Seth, and Brittany—headed down to TACAW for one of our favorite annual traditions: the Taste of Basalt. The 2025 event leaned into a festive theme of Vintage Ski Night, and the energy in the room matched the retro flair. Think après-ski nostalgia, bold patterns, and big smiles.

It’s not just a night filled with incredible food and drink (though that's definitely a highlight). It’s about showing up for the community we love and supporting the students and educators who shape its future.

As a Silver Sponsor of the Basalt Education Foundation, Z Group is honored to contribute to the programs and experiences that make our local schools thrive. And doing that through a joyful evening of local flavors, themed fun, and familiar faces? Even better.

Why We Show Up

We’ve been part of this valley for over 70 years, and while the projects, plans, and structures evolve, our core values haven’t changed: design with purpose, care for the landscape, and invest in the people who make this place what it is.

Being at the Taste of Basalt each year is one small but meaningful way we connect with that mission—by sharing in community, celebrating collaboration, and saying thank you to the educators who are shaping the next generation of creatives, thinkers, and leaders.

From Our Table to Yours

A huge thank you to the Basalt Education Foundation for bringing this event to life once again—and to every local restaurant, vendor, and volunteer who made the evening feel so special. We left full, happy, and grateful to call this valley home.

Thank You to Our Local Leaders

We’re grateful to the Basalt Education Foundation for their tireless work and to the broader Basalt community for a joyful and impactful evening. Our team left inspired—not only by the flavors and festivities, but by the enduring spirit of this valley.
