Located along the Roaring Fork River in Basalt, Colorado, LB-West is a contemporary office interior designed for a real estate development and investment firm rooted in the Mountain West. The project reflects Z Group Architecture & Interior Design’s approach to modern workplace design—balancing professionalism, collaboration, and connection to the surrounding landscape. Framed by expansive mountain views, the office was conceived as a workspace that supports focus, creativity, and long-term vision while reinforcing the company’s identity through light, openness, and refined materiality.
 

The design vision centered on creating a calm and highly functional environment inspired by the natural beauty of the Roaring Fork Valley. Floor-to-ceiling glazing draws daylight deep into the interior while capturing uninterrupted views of the river corridor and surrounding peaks, strengthening the relationship between architecture and place. Inside, white architectural surfaces and exposed structural elements establish a clean contemporary framework, while oak flooring and custom wood millwork introduce warmth, texture, and depth throughout the office.
 

Glass partitions maintain transparency and openness between private offices, conference rooms, and collaborative spaces, creating a workplace that feels connected without sacrificing privacy. Linear lighting, integrated cabinetry, and streamlined detailing reinforce the modern aesthetic while preserving visual simplicity and functionality. Large-scale black-and-white artwork introduces movement and visual contrast within circulation areas, adding energy and identity to the otherwise restrained palette.
 

Rather than relying on traditional corporate aesthetics, LB-West embraces simplicity, natural light, and hospitality-inspired interiors to create a workplace that feels timeless, elevated, and distinctly Colorado.
