The Inn at Aspen, located in Aspen, CO, was transformed from a dark outdated Holiday Inn to a bright and open rustic contemporary ski in/out resort. The dining and bar area seats 360 with island bar, booths, separate event space, and outdoor seating with firepit. Material details nod to the mining days of Aspen with corrugated metal and rough wood beams. The original low ceilings cut off views of Buttermilk mountain. Z Group Architects elevated the roof line with a cantilevered ceiling reaching towards the mountain allowing stunning views to come into the entry and dining spaces.
