About
Located within the The River Lofts at Basalt River Park, Morgridge Commons reflects Z Group Architecture & Interior Design’s commitment to fostering meaningful community spaces. Designed for Colorado Mountain College, this thoughtfully crafted collaboration hub supports the vital work of local non-profits, civic groups, and residents seeking a place to connect, innovate, and grow together.

Strategically located between CMC’s Aspen and Carbondale campuses, Morgridge Commons serves as a physical and symbolic bridge—bringing together diverse voices and missions under one roof. The flexible 1,000-square-foot main meeting room comfortably seats up to 28 and is outfitted with state-of-the-art video conferencing, large-format display screens, and high-speed Wi-Fi. A secondary six-person conference room provides a more intimate setting for focused dialogue and planning.

Designed with both functionality and warmth in mind, the interiors balance modern technology with approachable materials and light-filled ambiance. Clean lines, natural textures, and efficient layouts support uninterrupted collaboration while offering a welcoming atmosphere for guests and facilitators alike.

With this project, Z Group created more than just a meeting space—it’s a modern-day town hall reimagined. Morgridge Commons at Basalt River Park now stands as a vital resource and gathering point for the Roaring Fork Valley community.
