Sydney Melko
Architectural Designer
AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Originally from Boynton Beach, Florida, Sydney Melko is an architectural designer whose work is rooted in sustainability, intentionality, and place-based design. She earned a Bachelor of Design in Architecture and a Minor in Sustainability and the Built Environment from the University of Florida in 2021. She holds LEED AP BD+C accreditation and is an Associate Member of the AIA, reflecting her commitment to high-performance, environmentally responsive design.
Sydney began her architecture career when she relocated to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2021, drawn by the opportunity to design in a region where the built environment is deeply influenced by the surrounding landscape. She supports the design and development of residential projects while continuing to deepen her technical knowledge and creative skill set. “I enjoy working in the Roaring Fork Valley for the opportunity to design high-end homes while also thinking about the environment,” she says. “It’s proof that great design and sustainability can go hand in hand.”
In her free time, Sydney explores creative mediums including film photography, graphic design, digital illustration, and textile weaving. She’s embraced mountain life with enthusiasm—taking up skiing, joining a recreational kickball league, and staying active with Zumba. Sydney lives in the Valley with her fiancé and their husky mix, Dolly.
