As the first building in the new West Campus expansion areas of the Colorado Mesa Univeristy in GrandJunction, CO, this new 37,000 sf fine arts building houses a wide variety of artistic disciplines. The first floor is devoted to the 3-D arts, such as Stone carving, ceramics, and Bronze sculpting. The second floor concentrated on the 2-D arts such as drawing, painting, and printmaking. The third floor houses the mass communication department with graphics arts and computer classrooms, video and audio studios, and facility offices. Outdoor courtyards functioning as studio and classroom spaces, support the 3-D arts disciples, and take advantage of the area’s mild climate.
